Craig started with IE in 2017 as a founder, and started the Sabre Companies in 1995.

    Favorite IE project and why:

JP Morgan Chase headquarters in Dallas. The defining make/break project for IE. The first few weeks were a disaster, and the client was about to fire us. We made a lot of changes to get things on track, and by the time the project was completed, we had made fans of JPMC and Balfour Beatty.

    How would others describe you?

Others would probably describe me as an adventure seeker, nature lover, and world traveler. I’m always looking for the next great experience, whether it’s exploring the outdoors or immersing myself in new cultures and places around the globe.

    First paying job:

I was raised on a chicken farm, so I’ve been working from a young age, but my first official paying job was waiting tables at a local seafood restaurant in East Texas. It taught me a lot about hard work, customer service, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Where would you be right now if you had zero obligations and money didn’t matter?

If I had zero obligations and money wasn’t an issue, I’d be hopping between remote beaches in New Zealand, hiking through the mountains of Patagonia, and spending a few weeks trekking through the jungles of Southeast Asia. I’d also love to immerse myself in new cultures, meeting locals and admiring their traditions. Basically, exploring hidden gems and natural wonders, with no set schedule, just going where the adventure takes me!

What book did you read that changed your life the most?

The book that changed my life the most is The Giver by Lois Lowry. It made me think deeply about the importance of memory, individuality, and the choices we make in life. It opened my eyes to the value of experiencing both the good and the difficult moments, and how they shape who we are.

What is your favorite place you’ve ever visited?

I’ve been to many countries, and they’re all amazing in their own way, but my favorite place on earth is Big Bend National Park. The park’s dramatic landscapes, from the rugged Chisos Mountains to the vast desert and the Rio Grande River, are absolutely breathtaking. I love the peace and solitude there. It’s the kind of quiet you can’t find anywhere else. Whether I’m hiking the trails, stargazing under the clear night sky, or just taking in the scenery, Big Bend feels like a true escape into nature’s beauty and raw power.

What’s the top thing on your bucket list?

An African safari and a gorilla trek! Both are top on my bucket list. I’d love to experience the thrill of seeing the Big Five in their natural habitat, as well as trek through the jungle to observe gorillas up close. It would be an unforgettable adventure!
